Gonna order from Rowan...

So I don't care if a color is discontinued! If I can get a 50% discount and probably make 2 projects out of 10 balls of yummy yarn, that's cool! I'm going to order a bag of discontinued Kidsilk Haze in dreamboat and a bag of Cotton Glace in delight. Yum yum yum.

Maybe I'll try to make this cute tunic on the cover of Rowan 37.

Flat Rate Cleaners ROCKS! I think I'm in lurve. How can you beat $3.99 per item for dry cleaning? And you don't even have to schlep it back and forth or forget to pick it up! Woohoo!

can't... sleep.... can't wake up...

I think I have insomnia. Or maybe there's just too much that I want to do and not enough hours in the day. I don't know. Maybe I should start meditating again and breathing and stuff... I think it calmed my brain down a bit.

I'm looking forward to this long weekend coming up. No big plans but I'll finish the pinwheel baby blanket for CP in CA and will hopefully make a matching dinosaur toy to go with it from the excellent pattern over at Xtreme Knitting. Wondering how big that damn blanket should be for a newborn... I'm thinking it should be at least 2-feet diameter.

We are now totally in the swing of things here in NYC. It's amazing that we actually live here. It is such a pleasure to be able to go anywhere without having to worry about where we parked the car and when the meter is up. I have figured out (pretty much) exactly how late I can sleep in order to get to work on time...

Looking for a summer knitting project - I just finished the Rowan Bloom vest - still have to block it - and ended up knitting that on a US 3 needle! I'd like to do something on a larger needle for a bit. That thing seemed to last forever!

I'm also looking for a good knitting group in NYC. I miss my buddies in San Francisco - we had a great group. Now I have to get in with a bunch of strangers! YIKES!
